Happy Birthday, Julie!

I'm a little overwhelmed, today, in knowing that my little princess is 6 years old. We are so blessed by her everyday. She has such a gentle and quiet spirit. She's easy to love and we've enjoyed loving her everyday for the past 6 years. She's generous and I'm amazed by her willingness to share everything she has. She loves Jesus and this blesses me more than anything else. I love knowing that my kids are going to see Jesus one day.

She holds her Momma's heart and her Daddy's heart and her brother's heart securely in her hand. The first thing Eli said this morning, "Is Julie up?" My response, "Yes, but it's early you don't have to get up, yet." "I need to tell her, Happy Birthday." He's not always sweet to her these days. Their becoming independent, but I still see two kids who love each other more than anyone else. I don't worry that they'll ever be lonely or friendless, because God made them the best of friends. Who wouldn't love a girl who dresses like a princess to play in the mud.

Don't tell anyone, but sometimes after they're all tucked in for the night, Julie will sneak back downstairs and come to find me. She says, "I miss you, Mommy." and gives me a hug. I hug her back and send her back to bed. It's harder these days to let go. She's growing so fast and I can't wait to watch her be the BIG sister when we bring Dawson home. She's so very excited to love him.

So, we celebrate Julianna Faye, today. A sweet, muddy princess, who we love with all our hearts.

Happy Birthday, baby girl!
